Right now the fire risk is extreme here where I live in northern New Mexico. Almost all of our trails are closed to the public right now (fortunately a few are reopening today that have lower fire risk, woo hoo!) So during this closure I've been going to some of the scenic overlooks on the main road out of town. This morning I went out with the intention of painting the beautiful mesas to the east and north, but it was a bit later than usual and the light was kind of flat. I turned around to face the road where it cuts through to the top of the mesa and saw this lone juniper tree. When the trails are open I often go sit right on that mesa edge in my painting to paint. So it's kind of nice to see this from a different perspective. I'm calling this Another Roadside Attraction. Right now the fire risk is extreme here where I live in northern New Mexico.
